Breeze is building an AI-powered infrastructure layer for global commerce, combining global payments, AI, stablecoins, and a Merchant of Record-like model to handle compliance, risk, fraud, chargebacks, reconciliation, and customer support. The company is backed by Sequoia Capital, Multicoin Capital, and The Chainsmokers. As a Business Development Representative reporting to the Director of Sales, EU, you will own the top of the sales funnel for your territory. Your core responsibilities include: **Pipeline Generation** - Own outbound pipeline and hit weekly and monthly meeting targets - Run high-volume, multi-channel outbound across email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels - Qualify inbound and outbound interest against the ICP and hand off meetings with sufficient context for account executives - Manage multi-touch sequences and persistent follow-up across long buying cycles **Research and Targeting** - Build and maintain target account lists with research on what they sell, current payment methods, and why Breeze is a better solution - Map buying committees to identify decision-makers, not just easy-to-reach contacts - Use data and account research to prioritize accounts most likely to convert **Messaging and Experimentation** - Write specific, account-tailored outreach that stands out from templated pitches - Run structured experiments on subject lines, angles, channels, and sequencing - Feed market feedback to sales and marketing to sharpen positioning **Systems and Reporting** - Keep CRM and outbound tooling clean and current - Track funnel metrics and identify conversion breakdowns proactively - Use AI and automation to reduce repetitive work in research, list building, and personalization This is an execution role with real judgment and a build component. Outbound at Breeze is still early, and the targeting, sequences, and messaging you develop become the playbook for future hires. The role will be hybrid in Amsterdam once the office is established. **Success Milestones** - 30 days: Know the product, ICP, and competitive landscape; first sequences live - 90 days: Consistently hitting meeting targets with clean handoffs and evidence of what messaging works - 6 months: Built a repeatable outbound motion that another rep could run; real input into Breeze's targeting and positioning **Requirements** - 1–3+ years in sales development, business development, or outbound prospecting with a track record of hitting meeting or pipeline targets - Demonstrated comfort with high-volume outbound across multiple channels, including phone - Strong written communication; ability to hold attention in four sentences and make a specific, credible case - Genuine persistence and organization; ability to run dozens of accounts in parallel without letting follow-ups slip - Hands-on with CRM and sales engagement tooling (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or equivalents) - Commercial curiosity to learn how payments work and explain it plainly to prospects - Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments without an established playbook - Builder mentality with a strong bias toward action - Excited to use AI and automation to work smarter and rethink existing processes - Comfortable getting into the details and doing the work, regardless of seniority **Nice to Have** - Experience prospecting into fintech, payments, ecommerce, gaming, or other high-volume digital commerce verticals - Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup, especially as an early outbound hire - Ability to pull and analyze your own outbound data - Experience building a sequence or territory from zero
