Salary: USD 70,000 - 130,000 / annual
Adapt is an AI company building a central company agent platform that makes enterprises instantly AI native. As an early-stage Business Development Representative, you will identify companies with genuine use cases for Adapt and generate qualified opportunities for the sales team. Your work combines research, thoughtful personalized outreach, and AI-assisted tools to create conversations that Account Executives can advance—not just vanity meetings.
Key responsibilities:
- Research target accounts, their teams, systems, and likely use cases for the Adapt platform
- Use product and market signals to prioritize and segment outreach efforts
- Initiate conversations through personalized email, LinkedIn, community engagement, and events
- Qualify problems, account fit, initial champions, and next steps before handing off to Account Executives
- Test messaging and AI-assisted workflows, maintain CRM hygiene, and share learnings with the team
The role is based in Adapt's Presidio office in San Francisco, five days per week in-office.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in business development, sales development, recruiting, customer-facing work, or another high-accountability professional role
- Clear, concise writing ability and skill in earning attention through relevant, personalized outreach
- Curiosity about AI and technical products, with willingness to adopt and improve workflows using new tools
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and resilience in a fast-paced environment
