FlixTrain is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic initiatives and partnerships that shape the future of customer experience across its growing rail network. In this hands-on role, you will take full ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder projects aimed at improving the onboard customer experience. You will identify opportunities, develop solutions from the ground up, and continuously challenge partners to raise standards. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting the definition and execution of strategy to become Europe's largest private and most popular long-distance rail operator - Managing critical strategic projects to enhance onboard customer experience - Collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders including operations, partner management, network planning, and business planning teams - Building and establishing project management structures, including timelines and governance formats - Developing and implementing reporting formats with KPI tracking and preparing presentations for senior management - Playing a key role in transforming the transportation industry to drive long-term company success You will work at the forefront of the rail industry where customer experience increasingly defines competitive advantage. REQUIREMENTS: - Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics & Logistics, or related field - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in management consulting with focus on operations, or managing cross-functional projects in collaboration with multiple external partners (rail industry experience preferred) - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (including PowerPoint) - Demonstrated success implementing complex projects - Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders - Self-motivated and reliable with drive to continuously improve existing structures - Fluent English and German (C1 level minimum in both languages)
