FlixBus is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Adriatic region (Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia). In this role, you will identify and unlock new business opportunities, expand Flix's network, and develop commercial partnerships that make travel more accessible and sustainable. Key responsibilities include identifying and closing new business opportunities that drive network growth and revenue; building and managing relationships with key external partners including bus operators, stations, authorities, and commercial partners; leading end-to-end partnership negotiations from initial outreach through contract execution in collaboration with Legal and Operations teams; analyzing market trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth gaps; developing and presenting business cases and market entry proposals to senior leadership; collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Networking Planning, IT, RMCE, and Legal teams to ensure successful partnership onboarding; and representing Flix at industry events and stakeholder meetings. You bring 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or related commercial roles, ideally in transport, mobility, logistics, or fast-paced international environments. You have a proven track record managing complex negotiations and closing commercial agreements. Strong analytical skills enable you to build compelling business cases and present recommendations to senior stakeholders. Understanding of the Adriatic bus transportation market landscape is a plus. You are fluent in Croatian and English, with additional regional language skills valued. You are proactive and entrepreneurial, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in scale-ups or high-growth environments is a plus.
