As Business Development Manager, you will lead regional sales and revenue growth for the local marketplace. You will oversee vendor partnerships, drive revenue growth, and manage operations to ensure exceptional experiences for vendors and customers. You'll shape local business strategy, manage the regional P&L, mentor Business Development Associates, and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive sales goals.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing strategies to expand the local marketplace and drive GMV growth; managing the regional P&L for financial and operational success; identifying market opportunities and designing revenue-expansion solutions; overseeing and supporting Business Development Associates for vendor onboarding, satisfaction, and performance alignment; partnering with local operations teams; collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams (operations, marketing, product, tech) to deliver best-in-class user experience; collecting vendor and customer feedback to address issues and provide actionable insights; and analyzing dashboards and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 5 days per week in Houston, TX.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, operations management, or supply chain management in food services or e-commerce (strongly preferred)
- Analytical and strategic thinking to manage P&L and identify growth opportunities
- Strong leadership skills with ability to drive results and manage cross-functional teams
- Customer-focused with sales-driven mindset
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges and dynamic environments
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English preferred for vendor community communication
