Teya is a Series C fintech platform serving local businesses across Europe—cafes, restaurants, salons, shops, and entrepreneurs—with simplified financial tools, thoughtful design, and genuine human support. We're hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing sales team in Prague and drive growth across the region. In this role, you'll own a territory and drive consistent results with minimal oversight. You'll proactively identify and engage potential customers through direct outreach, networking, and referrals. Your approach will be consultative: meeting customers face-to-face, understanding their needs and challenges, and building trust through value-driven, long-term relationships. Key responsibilities include expanding Teya into new customer segments and landing larger, high-value clients and multi-location businesses. You'll develop deep product knowledge, mentor junior sales reps through coaching and knowledge-sharing, and provide market feedback to improve products and processes. You'll also identify partnership and integration opportunities, drive upselling and cross-selling with existing customers, and contribute to cross-functional strategic projects. You'll represent Teya as a trusted, professional ambassador aligned with our values, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven sales culture. While you'll work independently in the field, you're part of a supportive team that shares insights and learns from colleagues across the UK, Hungary, Croatia, and Iceland. Required: Czech/Slovak (C1) and fluent English (B2). You'll need 3+ years of sales experience, strong results orientation, ability to lead complex negotiations, and comfort with planning, reporting, and hitting targets. You must communicate clearly, simplify complex ideas, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving fintech environment.
