Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 / annual

EC Electric seeks a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across the Puget Sound region. This role is central to the company's expansion strategy, requiring the successful candidate to develop and execute regional business development strategies, build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineering firms, architects, general contractors, and trade partners, and identify and qualify project opportunities from concept through contract award. Key responsibilities include partnering with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and Marketing teams to develop pursuit and win strategies; maintaining an active market presence through customer meetings, project visits, and industry networking; developing and maintaining a documented opportunity pipeline with measurable growth objectives; supporting proposal development and presentations; creating executive-level relationships with key decision makers; providing market intelligence and competitive analysis to regional leadership; and fostering long-term client relationships that drive repeat business. The role emphasizes a consultative sales approach focused on understanding customer needs and aligning company resources to deliver value-driven solutions. The candidate will represent the company at industry organizations, conferences, and community functions, collaborate with project teams on successful transitions, maintain CRM activity and forecasting, and communicate regularly with Regional VPs, Project Executives, and Preconstruction teams. Requirements include a bachelor's degree (preferred), minimum 10 years in electrical construction with at least 5 years in business development, preconstruction, client development, account management, or strategic sales. The role requires 40–60% travel throughout the Puget Sound region with occasional overnight travel, with the expectation of in-office or client-facing work and minimal remote work. A valid driver's license is required. Strong business development and relationship-building skills, understanding of electrical construction, estimating, preconstruction, project delivery methods, CRM systems, and strategic opportunity planning are essential.
