Bókun, a Tripadvisor company, is the market-leading booking and channel management platform for the tours and activities industry. This Business Development Executive role bridges the gap between self-serve customer acquisition and dedicated enterprise account management.
You will own and grow a portfolio of mid-market accounts with real growth potential, nurturing them toward Key Account status where opportunity exists, while providing consistent account management and retention for those that remain in this tier. You'll also proactively identify and convert Experience Operators whose needs exceed self-serve sign-up, representing Bókun at industry events and trade shows to build pipeline and relationships through in-person prospecting.
Key responsibilities include running consultative discovery calls, demos, and webinars to demonstrate platform value; working alongside Business Development Managers to qualify enterprise opportunities; using Salesforce to track pipeline, spot trends, and refine outreach strategy; and consistently meeting targets across new business acquisition, account growth, and retention.
The role requires comfort working in a still-evolving position where you'll help build the playbook rather than simply follow one. You'll need strong organizational skills to juggle a large, varied portfolio, meticulous CRM discipline, and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities shift. Travel for industry events and in-person prospecting is expected.
Based in London with a hybrid arrangement requiring 2–3 days per week in the office, this role suits someone equally comfortable prospecting cold leads and nurturing warm opportunities—patient enough to play the long game with accounts, yet driven to win new business.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in SaaS or B2B
- Proven track record spanning both new business acquisition and existing account growth
- Confident, consultative communication skills (phone, webinar, trade show floor)
- Highly organized with ability to manage large, varied account portfolios
- Meticulous Salesforce discipline and data-driven decision-making
- Willingness to travel for industry events and prospecting
- Self-motivation, resilience, and genuine curiosity about travel business growth
- Fluency in English; proficiency in one or more additional European languages (Spanish, Italian, German) highly desirable
