Revolut is seeking a Business Compliance Manager to serve as a product-embedded compliance partner, based remotely in New Zealand. The role bridges first-line and second-line defense (1LoD and 2LoD) teams, providing regulatory expertise across Revolut's retail banking and payments products.
Key responsibilities include advising on retail banking features, customer communications, and financial promotions while navigating complex regulatory requirements. You will identify compliance risks in retail offerings, create innovative strategies to address regulatory challenges, and ensure smooth, compliant product launches. The role requires steering products through the regulatory landscape, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy compliance policies that balance legal requirements with business growth, and serving as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during audits.
You'll empower product teams with compliance knowledge and tools, making regulatory considerations seamless to the innovation process. This is a hands-on position requiring deep domain expertise in regulatory compliance, the ability to translate between business and compliance perspectives, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience, demonstrated track record of achievement across different compliance areas, excellent understanding of how compliance and business risks interact, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure with tight deadlines.
Nice-to-have: STEM or highly quantitative degree from a top university, experience in banking, strategy consulting, or fast-growing technology companies.
