Wayflyer is a fintech company that provides rapid capital assessment and financing to small businesses. Using proprietary technology, Wayflyer can assess businesses in minutes, generate financing offers, and deploy funds in as little as 24 hours. The company has deployed over $6bn to thousands of businesses worldwide and is backed by Tier 1 banks including J.P. Morgan. The Broker Channel is Wayflyer's fastest-growing route to market. This role is a build role, not a maintenance role, focused on scaling a panel of brokers into a genuine growth engine. Key responsibilities: - Grow and manage the broker panel by recruiting new brokers and training them to understand and sell Wayflyer's products effectively - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing brokers, positioning yourself as their first point of contact for relevant deals - Review referrals and provide sense checks and indicative offers, demonstrating strong ability to read business financials and identify key metrics - Own the full portfolio lifecycle, converting referral volume into funded deals rather than just pipeline noise - Represent Wayflyer at industry events and within broker networks to build brand awareness and credibility Career trajectory: This role offers genuine influence in shaping the broker channel strategy. Progression opportunities include leading a regional broker team as the company expands into new markets, or transitioning into a wider commercial partnerships role across the business. The ideal candidate treats brokers as partners rather than leads, understands the reputational stakes brokers face with each referral, and combines commercial acumen with genuine curiosity about the businesses behind applications. You're proactive, comfortable with financial analysis, and don't wait for information to be handed to you—you chase it down and move. Working arrangement: London-based, hybrid (3-4 days in office). Requirements: - Minimum 2 years in business lending, ideally in fintech - Minimum 2 years working directly with commercial finance brokers, with a demonstrable network - At least 1 year analyzing business financials at a working level - HubSpot experience is a bonus - Demonstrated track record of building something, growing a book, or converting relationships into revenue - Exceptional candidates from adjacent areas of business finance who don't tick every box will be considered
