Overland AI, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, is transforming land operations for modern defense through autonomous ground systems. The company has developed OverDrive, an autonomy stack enabling ground vehicles to navigate and operate off-road without GPS or direct operator control, and OverWatch, an intuitive command-and-control interface for mission coordination. Backed by prominent defense tech investors including 8VC and Point 72, with partnerships across DARPA, the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command, Overland AI is executing eight-figure Department of Defense contracts. The Brand Designer role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, visual design, and production within the Communications & Marketing team. You will own the visual identity of Overland AI across all touchpoints—social media, digital and print design, events, and cross-functional creative initiatives. Working closely with content strategists, video producers, and product marketers, as well as internal stakeholders across software, hardware, and business development, you will translate complex autonomous technology into sharp, compelling visuals that resonate with end users, customers, partners, investors, and the public. Key responsibilities include: owning the visual design of social presence and creating assets for campaigns, announcements, product updates, events, and recruiting; building templates and systems for fast, consistent social content production; developing creative ideas and visual directions for brand campaigns; applying typographic skills to create dynamic layouts and maintaining brand guidelines; designing for social media, websites, email, presentations, signage, video, and events using Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); and preparing accurate, production-ready files for print and digital use, managing color profiles, resolution, bleed, trim, and export settings. This is a hands-on role for a designer who loves typography, layout, and brand systems. You will develop templates and design systems that enable the team to move quickly without sacrificing quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning work from early concept through final delivery and thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly, with ample autonomy to navigate the environment. **Requirements:** The posting does not explicitly state years of experience or formal education requirements. However, the role expects proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), strong typographic and layout skills, experience with brand systems and design systems, ability to work across digital and print formats, production knowledge (color profiles, file formats, export settings), and comfort with end-to-end ownership from concept to delivery. The role is positioned as Mid Level (Brand Designer I or II), suggesting 3–7 years of relevant design experience is expected.
