Hinge Health is seeking a Biostatistician to design and execute rigorous studies demonstrating how their digital musculoskeletal care platform improves outcomes, experiences, and costs for millions of members. You will partner with clinical, product, data, and research teams to translate complex real-world healthcare data into actionable insights.
In the first three months, you will design statistical analysis plans for observational studies and clinical evaluations, implement and validate analysis workflows in R/Python/SAS, and build cross-functional relationships with clinical and product stakeholders. By six months, you will lead end-to-end analyses of complex longitudinal datasets, define metrics and success criteria, and establish reproducible analysis pipelines. Within your first year, you will serve as a trusted advisor on statistical methodology, support peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and help improve how Hinge Health generates and communicates evidence.
You are a rigorous applied statistician comfortable moving from study design through modeling to clear interpretation, with a focus on real-world impact. You are collaborative, seek feedback, and stay current on statistical best practices in clinical and digital health settings. You communicate complex results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and operate as an owner-operator who raises the bar on evidence generation.
Required qualifications include an MS or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field, plus 2+ years of applied experience designing and analyzing observational, clinical, or product impact studies using real-world or healthcare data. You must be proficient in at least one major statistical programming language (R, Python, or SAS) and able to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
Preferred qualifications include experience in regulated healthcare, clinical research, or digital health; familiarity with causal inference, survival analysis, mixed-effects models, or Bayesian methods; experience supporting peer-reviewed publications or regulatory submissions; knowledge of data quality and analytical validation; and comfort in fast-moving, cross-functional environments.
