Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Data Driven Bioscience is revolutionizing cancer diagnosis by combining novel DNA and RNA sequencing assays with intelligent software. The company has deployed its genomic test to hospitals and is scaling rapidly. Founded by Sandeep Dave, a researcher with over a decade of experience at Duke University, the company addresses a critical problem: cancer diagnosis currently takes 2-3+ weeks and costs $10K+. Data Driven Bioscience delivers results 10X faster and 10X cheaper.
You will join a small, high-performing team of scientists and engineers to develop clinical diagnostics using one of the world's largest genomic datasets. This role is ideal for someone who wants to apply computational expertise directly to improve cancer patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generate and test genomic models that provide diagnostic readouts
- Collaborate with researchers on genomic projects
- Optimize genomic prognosis models by integrating over 1 million single-cell RNA-seq samples
- Train new machine learning models to identify biomarkers and automate diagnostic workflows for hematologic malignancies
- Work with large-scale genomics datasets, NGS data, and high-performance computing infrastructure
The ideal candidate has a PhD or MS degree with 5+ years of bioinformatics/biostatistics experience, though strong candidates with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply. You should have solid computational skills, deep statistical and machine learning knowledge, experience with NGS and genomic data analysis, and proficiency in R or Python.
