ubitricity, part of the Shell Group, is seeking a Bid Manager to lead end-to-end tender and proposal processes across the UK business. The role combines project management, commercial strategy, and stakeholder coordination to drive successful bids in the EV charging and sustainable energy sector.
You will own the complete bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification and planning through submission, clarification, handover, and post-bid review. Key responsibilities include developing bid strategies and win themes, creating detailed bid plans with clear deliverables and timelines, leading bid kick-offs and solution workshops, and coordinating cross-functional contributors (Commercial, Operations, Delivery, Product, Legal, Finance). You will identify risks and dependencies early, challenge assumptions constructively, ensure compliance and commercial robustness, and maintain proposal quality and consistency. Additional duties include managing the tender pipeline, improving bid-management tools and governance (including Jira-based planning and AI-supported solutions), and ensuring structured handover of successful bids to Delivery and Operations teams.
The role requires someone who can bring structure and momentum to complex tender processes, engage stakeholders across different functions and levels, and drive accountability without formal authority. You will work closely with internal teams and external consultants, turning cross-functional input into clear, client-focused, persuasive proposals.
ubitricity operates a hybrid model with a minimum of three days per week in the London office, including dedicated Face-to-Face Tuesdays. The company offers a competitive benefits package including 27 days annual leave plus public holidays, AXA Private Healthcare, enhanced pension contributions (£50–£100 per month depending on healthcare choice), life assurance at four times salary, and access to wellbeing platforms and company events.

- Highly organized; comfortable managing multiple concurrent deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to create accountability and maintain momentum without formal authority
- Advantageous: experience with public-sector procurement, framework agreements, or infrastructure tenders
- Beneficial: background in EV charging, energy, transport, mobility, utilities, or related infrastructure; familiarity with Jira, CRM, or proposal-management tools
