Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held HR technology and services organization, is seeking a Benefits Consultant to serve as the benefits expert for an assigned sales region. The role combines strategic advisory work with regional management responsibilities.
You will partner with Business Consultants to develop comprehensive benefits strategies, including evaluating current offerings, presenting proposed options, developing contribution models, and negotiating final rates for all Master Plan Benefits programs. You'll maintain expert-level knowledge across benefits strategy development, market trends, open market offerings, medical and ancillary benefits, voluntary benefits, implementation rules, and underwriting guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and presenting benefits program strategies to clients
- Evaluating and comparing carrier offerings and market trends
- Building and maintaining contribution models
- Negotiating and finalizing benefits offerings with carriers
- Managing your assigned territory effectively
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal Business Consultants and cross-functional teams
- Supporting national-level initiatives as needed
- Staying current on industry best practices through ongoing training
You'll be the go-to benefits expert for your region, combining deep technical knowledge with strong communication and presentation skills. The role requires balancing regional territory management with occasional national support, working in a fast-paced environment where you'll prioritize multiple tasks and deliver results under tight deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the benefits or insurance field
- Active Group Life & Health Insurance Broker's license required for each assigned state
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and data analysis
