Payoneer is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join its Guangzhou office and build test automation infrastructure for cross-border payment systems. This is a greenfield opportunity to design and implement the team's first centralized automation framework from the ground up. You will own the end-to-end automation strategy for a Java microservices platform, covering both API/integration and Web UI layers. Key responsibilities include: • Designing and implementing the team's first automation framework, defining scope, test data strategy, and reporting standards • Building repeatable automated test suites for core cross-border payment flows, including open APIs, backoffice services, UI workflows, and async service chains • Automating validation of scheduled jobs, message-driven flows, and file-based business processes • Developing SQL-based assertions across multiple databases to verify transaction state machines and data consistency • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Alibaba Cloud DevOps, Codeup, or similar) • Building smoke tests and connectivity checks for key dependencies • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on environment readiness, test data setup, and release validation • Ensuring automation coverage aligns with financial regulatory and payment-industry quality standards You bring 5+ years of test automation experience, ideally in fintech or cross-border payments. You are proficient in Java or Python, have strong API/HTTP testing and SQL skills, and are comfortable with CI/CD integration. Experience building automation frameworks from scratch, performance testing (JMeter), Redis, OpenFeign, and SFTP/file-based testing is preferred. You are detail-oriented, own your work, learn quickly, and excel at troubleshooting across microservice architectures.
