Airspace is a tech-enabled freight forwarder leveraging AI and machine learning to coordinate logistics across a global network of drivers and airlines. The company delivers mission-critical packages—from organs for transplant to semiconductor components—faster, more transparently, and more securely than traditional logistics.
As Associate Technical Product Manager for Integrations, you will own the design and delivery of system integrations between the Airspace platform and customers' existing technology ecosystems. This role bridges customer needs and platform capabilities, requiring you to work directly with customer technical teams to understand their systems, design integration approaches, and guide engineering through implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical Product Ownership:** Collaborate with customer technical teams to understand their data flows and integration requirements, then design solutions that connect their systems to Airspace. Prototype integration concepts to validate approaches before committing engineering resources. Evaluate new integration requests with technical recommendations—not just feasibility but the optimal implementation approach. Define data mappings, API contracts, EDI specifications, and webhook configurations for engineering teams.
**Engineering Guidance:** Translate solution designs into clear technical specifications that engineering can execute. Act as the bridge between customer requirements and implementation. Work alongside engineers during development to resolve ambiguities and ensure solutions match designs. Review work-in-progress to catch issues early and own solution integrity from design through go-live.
**Pattern Recognition & Scaling:** When you identify three customers needing the same integration, advocate to turn it into a repeatable capability. Build reusable integration patterns and templates that reduce future implementation time.
**Technical Domains:** You'll work across REST APIs, EDI feeds, TMS platforms, tracking devices, and partner systems to ensure critical shipment data flows reliably into Airspace.
The role requires someone who is technically fluent but not necessarily a full-stack engineer—someone who can speak both customer and engineering languages, prototype solutions, and drive integration strategy.
