Salary: USD 140,000 - 183,750 / annual
Snowflake is seeking an Associate Solution Engineer to join its Commercial team and help customers unlock the full potential of their data through the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This role blends technical problem-solving, customer collaboration, and business acumen in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
You will engage customers by presenting Snowflake's technology, vision, and roadmap to audiences ranging from technical contributors to business executives, connecting technical solutions to business outcomes. You'll drive technical wins by working hands-on with prospects and customers across the sales cycle—from tailored demos and proofs of concept to solution design and implementation—demonstrating business value at every stage.
Key responsibilities include building trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and developing technical champions who advance deals and support long-term success. You'll maintain deep, current knowledge of Snowflake's platform, industry trends, and competing or complementary technologies, using hands-on labs and learning resources to keep your skills sharp. You'll collaborate across Snowflake with Account Executives, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer success and share field feedback that improves products and messaging.
Additionally, you'll partner with technology and implementation partners on joint architectures and account strategies, represent Snowflake at industry and customer events, and learn from fellow Sales Engineers and from wins and losses through mentorship and on-the-job development.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Some experience in a technical role (e.g., solution engineering, solutions architecture, or software development), preferably in SaaS, data analytics, or cloud technology
- Passion for solving problems and eagerness to grow technical and business skills
- Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python, or strong willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both written and verbal
- Desire to understand customer challenges and deliver meaningful solutions
- Collaborative approach to working with peers, partners, and customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with modern data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery, CI/CD tooling, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, Git)
- Understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services
- Familiarity with data science, machine learning workflows, or governance tools
