Saronic Technologies is seeking an Associate Product Manager to contribute to the strategy, development, and delivery of autonomous maritime products for defense and commercial applications. Reporting to a Product or Senior Product Manager, you will own a defined product area with distinct responsibilities, provide ongoing support to key Saronic products, and contribute to building cross-functional product team resources.
In this role, you will support the development of comprehensive product strategy aligned to Saronic's vision while considering defense and commercial requirements. You'll analyze operational needs, market trends, competition, and user feedback to identify opportunities and drive product differentiation. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and mission operations teams to drive execution and push product development forward—including time on ships, production lines, and with software teams to understand challenges and accelerate progress.
You will create and maintain detailed product roadmaps for initiatives, components, or efforts within broader Saronic activities and priorities, balancing immediate success with long-term integration. You'll proactively generate content to educate internal and external stakeholders, helping non-technical audiences understand how products work and design rationale, while helping technical teams understand customer needs and required functionality.
Additionally, you'll build and maintain internal tools, documentation, and materials that enable the Product function across the organization.
This role is designed for junior product managers or hardware/software engineers transitioning into product management. The company will invest in developing your skills; they seek enthusiasm, organization, sound judgment, strong work ethic, comfort with ambiguity, and curiosity.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; shrewd judgment and ability to differentiate good products from bad; diplomatic disposition with cross-functional collaboration skills; strong technical background with knowledge of autonomous systems and constituent technologies (sensors, perception, networking, mechanical design, electrical architectures); mature written and verbal communication skills; and detail-oriented mindset. Past product management experience is preferred but not required.
