Knix, an award-winning intimate apparel and activewear brand founded in 2013, is seeking an Associate People Operations Business Partner to support Western Canada's retail operations. The company is one of North America's fastest-growing intimate apparel brands, reaching over 3 million customers through online stores, retail locations across North America, and wholesale channels. In this role, you will serve as the primary HR partner for assigned retail stores in Western Canada, building trusted relationships with District Managers, store leaders, and team members. You will support the full employee lifecycle by delivering HR programs, coaching leaders on performance management and communication skills, addressing employee relations matters including conflict resolution and policy interpretation, and ensuring compliance with Canadian employment legislation. Key responsibilities include: - Coaching retail leaders on performance management, feedback delivery, employee development, and day-to-day people decisions - Supporting employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation - Ensuring employment practices comply with applicable legislation and Knix policies - Partnering on retention, development, and talent movement across the retail network - Supporting hiring, onboarding, and integration of retail team members with Talent Acquisition and Retail Operations - Delivering people programs including learning, performance, engagement, feedback, and recognition initiatives - Gathering store feedback to identify themes and opportunities for strengthening people programs - Using workforce data and employee feedback to identify patterns in turnover, retention, attendance, engagement, and staffing - Supporting organizational changes and helping leaders communicate effectively with their teams You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, managing multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality. You will partner with fellow Business Partners and the broader People Team to create consistency across stores while recognizing unique market and team needs. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience (CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset) - Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with at least 1–2 years supporting retail or hourly employee groups - Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation (multi-jurisdiction experience is an asset) - Experience supporting employee relations, store-level coaching, onboarding, performance conversations, and HR program delivery - Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality - Comfortable in fast-paced retail environments with agility, resilience, and continuous improvement mindset - Solid foundational knowledge of HR practices including performance management, employee relations, engagement, workforce planning, and change management
