Meesho Grocery is an early-stage division within Meesho, the Indian e-commerce platform, focused on revolutionizing grocery retail in lower-tier cities through cost-effective distribution. The company aims to disrupt the $800B+ Indian grocery market by building supply chain solutions optimized for non-metro and Tier 1 cities where logistics costs have historically prevented other players from competing effectively.
As an Associate – Operations, you will lead operational initiatives across Meesho Grocery's seller-side operations and processing centers. Your core responsibilities include overseeing daily seller operations to ensure timely and accurate order pickup and fulfillment at target service levels. You will design, implement, and optimize material handling and purchase order fulfillment processes to enhance efficiency and throughput across the network.
You will ensure strict adherence to quality and compliance standards across all processing centers and drive operational excellence to meet customer delivery timelines while improving delivery success rates. A key focus will be identifying and implementing cost optimization initiatives to improve overall operational efficiency and profitability. You will also lead workforce development efforts, training seller personnel through structured programs, monitoring productivity against KPIs, and building engagement strategies to create a high-performing and retained team.
You will collaborate closely with central Control Tower and Process Excellence teams to enhance performance metrics and pickup success. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment within a larger organization, requiring both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of overall professional experience with at least 1+ year in a team leadership or management capacity
- Experience working in startups and fast-paced environments (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and building point-of-view
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically
- Deep understanding of business dynamics and customer needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage relevant stakeholders
