Oscar Health is seeking an Operational Forecasting Associate to join the Workforce Management team in Tempe, Arizona. This hybrid role (3 days/week in-office, with Thursdays required) focuses on building and maintaining detailed operational forecasts for volumetric demand and resourcing needs to support leadership in budget estimation and financial planning. Key responsibilities include developing forecast models aligned with business objectives, collaborating with data teams to source and refine datasets, and generating insights that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior managers and directors, owning stakeholder relationships and presenting findings in clear, compelling ways to non-technical colleagues. The role requires managing multiple concurrent tasks, supporting periodic planning discussions, and contributing to strategic projects as needed. You will work with tools including Workday, Jira, BigQuery, and Looker, leveraging your analytical expertise to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality work. The position reports to the Associate Director of Workforce Management. Required qualifications include 3+ years of operations forecasting experience, 2+ years working with large datasets and distilling analyses into insights, and 2+ years of SQL proficiency (or equivalent in R/Python with Pandas). You must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills around business reporting and have 1+ years of advanced Excel/Google Sheets experience (VLookup, nested if statements, connected sheets). Bonus qualifications include 2+ years in healthcare, investment banking, or insurance; 2+ years developing dashboards with Looker or similar BI tools; and 3+ years of technical analytical work.
