Flock Safety is seeking an Associate General Counsel to lead the revenue legal function as the company scales customer partnerships across public-sector agencies and commercial organizations. You will lead a team of transactional attorneys responsible for managing customer agreements spanning SaaS, software licensing, and professional services. This role combines hands-on legal work with team leadership and strategic business partnership.
Key responsibilities include leading and coaching transactional attorneys, serving as the primary legal escalation for Sales, Finance, and Customer Success teams on complex public-sector and commercial transactions, and partnering with Legal Operations to design and deploy contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidance. You will advise cross-functional teams on transaction structuring, risk mitigation, and compliance, while driving operational efficiency across contracting workflows and tools to accelerate deal execution.
This is an active role—you will directly negotiate complex customer agreements and review high-impact contract terms rather than managing from a distance. The position focuses on commercial transactions and revenue enablement rather than regulatory or litigation matters, and requires daily collaboration with Sales, Finance, Product, and Legal Operations teams.
Required qualifications include extensive legal experience leading and negotiating complex technology and commercial contracts with both public-sector and private customers, a proven track record managing and developing transactional attorney teams, demonstrated ability to partner with business teams under tight deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills, and an active law license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Prior in-house legal experience at a SaaS or technology company is preferred.
Flock Safety is a 1,700-person company backed by over $1B in funding, building public safety technology that supported over 1 million criminal investigations last year and helped locate more than 10,000 missing people. The company prioritizes fast-paced execution and high-impact work.
