Abridge is seeking an Associate General Counsel for Life Sciences to serve as the first dedicated legal counsel for a newly created life sciences business unit. This is a founding member role offering the opportunity to shape legal strategy and compliance frameworks from the ground up.
You will partner closely with product, engineering, and strategy teams to embed legal and compliance into the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: serving as product counsel for design, development, and deployment; supporting go-to-market activities including contract drafting and negotiation; developing Abridge's life sciences legal strategy and guardrails; providing guidance on regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters (HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, AI/ML); advising on healthcare regulatory compliance (FDA, FTC, fraud and abuse laws); coordinating with cross-functional teams (policy, partner experience, marketing, IT, finance, corporate development, commercial); supporting privacy impact assessments and data governance; managing external counsel relationships; and monitoring emerging AI and healthcare technology regulations.
