Salary: USD 180,000 - 230,000 / annual

The Associate General Counsel will be a key member of Vetcove's legal team and trusted partner to business leadership, product, operations, and finance. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in high-growth startup environments, brings strong ownership mindset, and wants to build legal infrastructure for a rapidly expanding technology company operating in highly regulated markets.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements (SaaS, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, vendor agreements, distribution agreements); partnering with business leadership on enterprise deals and strategic initiatives; advising on product development and launches; developing expertise in telecommunications, consumer protection, privacy, FDA, DEA, veterinary practice laws, pharmacy laws, ecommerce, and marketplace regulation; translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical guidance; and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of legal experience including top-tier law firm background, J.D. from accredited law school with active bar membership, strong commercial contracting experience (SaaS, technology, enterprise), excellent drafting and negotiation skills, exceptional attention to detail, experience advising high-growth technology or regulated businesses, curiosity about evolving regulatory frameworks, and a proactive, ownership-oriented problem-solving mindset.
