Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual

The Custody Operations Associate plays an integral role in day-to-day processing and monitoring of retirement plans on Vestwell's platform. This position requires strong operational execution, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service to plan sponsors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and processing incoming cash, wires, and checks in the trust accounting system
- Processing plan and participant-level corrections on a daily basis
- Coordinating with sub-custodians to settle trades for mutual funds, stable value funds, and ETFs from booking through settlement
- Responding to high-volume complex operational issues for internal teams
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in cash and share balances
- Overseeing team member action items and ensuring timely completion
- Supporting creation and maintenance of written operating procedures
- Auditing record-keeping and plan administration components
- Investigating and reconciling data discrepancies
Required qualifications include an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Accounting with strong academic performance, aptitude for numbers, understanding of cash and securities reconciliations, proactive analytical mindset, high-level Excel proficiency, and strong organizational skills.
Preferred experience includes familiarity with custodial platforms (Matrix, Schwab), knowledge of mutual fund/ETF trading and settlement, ERISA compliance knowledge, experience with record-keeping systems (SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS), QKA or ASPPA credentials, and relevant record-keeper background.
The role is based in King of Prussia with a hybrid schedule. Salary range: $65K-$75K base, plus eligibility for company bonus pool and new hire equity.
