Salary: USD 147,157 - 210,477 / annual

ezCater is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join its in-house legal team supporting the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company operates a marketplace connecting over 125,000 restaurants with organizations seeking meal solutions, from employee programs to one-off meetings. You will be a core member of ezCater's commercial legal team, reporting directly to the Director and Managing Counsel (Commercial). Your primary focus will be drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial agreements—particularly vendor and inbound contracts—while implementing strategies to streamline the contracting process across the business. Key responsibilities include: - Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and interpreting a wide variety of commercial agreements to meet both business and legal objectives - Building and improving contract templates, playbooks, talk tracks, and legal processes to support business scaling - Developing and delivering trainings on legal issues, contract best practices, and negotiating strategies - Providing practical legal analysis and strategic guidance to internal clients and cross-functional teams, balancing business objectives with legal risk - Managing assigned legal projects to completion - Assisting with legal research, strategic transactions, and legal escalations You bring 3–5 years of legal experience in law firm or in-house settings, with demonstrated expertise in commercial contracts and state bar membership. You excel at drafting from templates and from scratch, with solid understanding of confidentiality, indemnity, termination, representations, and other standard contract provisions. You negotiate effectively in both collaborative and adversarial scenarios, communicate legal implications clearly to non-lawyers, and balance risk with business objectives. You are a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, high integrity, and the ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and communicate clearly across all organizational levels.
