Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual
Vestwell is a financial technology platform powering the savings economy, serving over 350,000 businesses and 2M active savers with $50B+ in assets across retirement, education, and healthcare savings. The Conversions Associate will play a critical operational role in managing the onboarding and conversion of retirement plans onto Vestwell's platform.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and recording asset transfers in trust accounting systems, coordinating with sub-custodians on trade settlement for mutual funds, stable value funds, and ETFs, and managing all operational aspects of plan installations. You will coordinate with Implementation Managers and Investment teams to transition new and conversion-qualified plans, oversee the deconversion process including asset liquidation and transfers, and manage timelines and communications with financial advisors, plan sponsors, prior record keepers, and third-party administrators.
Additional duties involve monitoring outstanding conversion wires for timely completion, maintaining client data in CRM systems, ensuring cross-team collaboration on project timelines, supporting the creation of operating procedures, researching and resolving operational issues, and driving process improvements for the Implementations team. The role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, high-level Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Required qualifications include an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Accounting with strong academic performance, aptitude for numbers and securities reconciliation, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills. Preferred experience includes familiarity with collaboration and project management tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira), understanding of mutual funds and ETF trading/settlement, knowledge of ERISA rules, experience with compliance systems (SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS), QKA or ASPPA credentials, and prior record-keeper experience.
