Arrive is seeking an Associate Benefits Specialist to support the administration and delivery of employee benefits programs in Austin, TX. This role offers hands-on experience across the full spectrum of benefits administration under the mentorship of a senior benefits specialist.
You will assist in administering Arrive's comprehensive benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental coverage, wellness initiatives, 401(k) plans, and time-off policies. Key responsibilities include supporting employment leave-of-absence administration (FMLA, medical, USERRA, workers' compensation, STD, ADA), managing daily benefits operations such as invoicing, 401(k) and HSA funding, and conducting reporting and auditing activities. You'll work with Workday to support reporting, business processes, and system build-outs, while learning continuous improvement methodologies.
The role involves resolving employee questions about benefits policies, monitoring PTO policies, and supporting the coordination of enrollment processes for new hires, life events, and open enrollment. You will facilitate benefits education during onboarding, maintain employee-facing benefit portals, and assist with communication materials and educational webinars. Additional responsibilities include supporting Mexico-based generalists with international benefit questions, researching compliance topics (ERISA, COBRA, ACA), documenting processes and SOPs, and administering gym membership partnerships.
You will also participate in brainstorming sessions for on-site benefits across Arrive's locations, partnering with HR Generalists and local leadership. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI and PII.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study
- 0–2 years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, or fast-paced corporate support environment (logistics or tech industry experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms; Workday experience is a strong advantage
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite
- Exceptional customer service mindset with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and professional integrity when handling sensitive employee information
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, flexible environment
