Candid is reimagining orthodontics by combining clinical expertise with telehealth technology to make clear aligner treatment more accessible and affordable. As an Associate Account Executive, you'll be a field-based sales professional responsible for building relationships with dental practices in the Northern Los Angeles territory and driving new business opportunities.
You'll develop your own pipeline by prospecting high-potential dental practices through referrals, industry events, and research. Your core responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing practices, engaging decision-makers (dentists, practice owners, office managers), and converting prospects into signed accounts. You'll support sales presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and serve as a product expert, confidently answering client questions about Candid's clear aligner solutions.
Beyond closing deals, you'll help newly signed practices successfully launch Candid through onboarding, training, and product education. You'll conduct or support in-practice training for dental teams, monitor account activity to identify adoption opportunities, and partner with Account Executives and internal teams to ensure strong customer experience. You'll also help coordinate local events designed to drive practice engagement and growth.
This is an outside, field-based role requiring daily territory travel and 4-6 overnight trips per year. You'll maintain accurate pipeline and activity data in Salesforce, build deep product knowledge, and learn from experienced Account Executives to develop your sales skills and prepare for increased territory ownership. You'll stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and dental industry developments.
The role requires 1-3 years of professional sales experience (dental, orthodontic, or medical device background preferred), a bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to travel. Salesforce experience is a plus.
