Salary: USD 140,000 - 160,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies, a defense and space technology company, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to build, manage, and scale the accounting and finance organization. This is a hybrid role based in Denver or Littleton, Colorado, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller.
You will serve as the primary accounting lead for the Products and Maneuver divisions, overseeing revenue accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, general ledger accounting, FP&A, and operations coordination. Key responsibilities include:
Operations & Controls: Oversee business expansion and standardize policies and procedures across divisions using tools like FloQast. Develop control frameworks aligned with US GAAP, manage business integration into corporate functions, and build internal controls frameworks for revenue and operational accounting.
Financial Reporting: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare financial reporting packages and statements in compliance with company guidelines and US GAAP. Deliver timely transaction processing and provide financial insights to support business performance.
Audit & Compliance: Act as primary liaison with external auditors, manage quarterly reviews and annual audit cadence, and engage auditors on internal controls and technical accounting matters.
Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 6+ years of general accounting experience (ideally Big Four or public accounting), recent public company accounting management experience, thorough US GAAP knowledge, strong cost-to-cost accounting method expertise in aerospace & defense, CPA license, advanced Excel and MS Office skills, solid project management and communication skills.
Preferred: Industry knowledge, ERP systems experience (NetSuite).
