Moody's is seeking an Associate Analytics & Model Analyst to join their Insurance product team in Greater Noida. This role focuses on developing data products and solutions for catastrophe risk modeling, valuation modeling, and Property and Casualty data quality assessment. You will draw meaningful insights from research papers and white papers across insurance domains, enhance data collection procedures, and automate recurring analytical processes using Python, R, or Julia. The position involves providing professional analytical support across all phases of data analysis, including statistical analysis, quality assurance, documentation, and presentation. Key responsibilities include communicating analytical insights through sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results, serving as an active participant on cross-functional projects by interpreting data and translating findings into actionable insights, and independently driving projects with technical ownership of assigned work. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on experience in analytics, data science, or data product development. Required skills include proficiency in Python or R programming, strong SQL and Microsoft Office expertise (particularly Excel), and applied statistics knowledge including distributions, statistical testing, and regression methods. Experience with data mining, text mining, machine learning, or statistical model development is preferred. You should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and innovative thinking, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field (operations research, applied mathematics, econometrics, or statistics) is required. The role works within a multidisciplinary team developing products related to insured property exposures and data applications that serve Moody's Insurance product line.
