Salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 / annual

SoundCloud is seeking an Artist & Label Relations Manager to serve as a key ambassador across the US music ecosystem. Based in the NYC office, you'll build and nurture relationships with artists, managers, labels, and distributors while helping shape SoundCloud's Hip-Hop strategy. Key responsibilities include acting as the primary SoundCloud ambassador across the US music ecosystem, building strategic relationships with artists, managers, labels, and distributors. You'll educate partners on platform best practices and provide day-to-day technical and operational support. Collaborate with artists and labels to create strategic plans for music content releases that drive discovery, engagement, retention, and growth. Host artist visits and performances from the NYC office and play a pivotal role in developing and executing SoundCloud's Hip-Hop music strategy. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with teams including music marketing, content operations, product, and data science/analytics. Identify emerging artists, scenes, communities, and cultural movements, and translate SoundCloud's platform data and cultural signals into actionable artist and label strategies. Required experience includes a minimum of 1-2 years of artist/label relations, A&R, or partnership management within a record label, distributor, management company, or DSP. You should have broad interest across music genres with deep knowledge of SoundCloud and particular expertise in Hip-Hop and underground music culture. Strong communication skills and comfort on camera are essential. You must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment across various time zones. The ideal candidate is results-driven, proactive, and resourceful with a talent for identifying opportunities, developing creative plans, and driving them to completion. Fluency in English is required.
