OLIPOP is a Series C-funded functional beverage company on a mission to positively impact consumer health through delicious, science-backed soda with 6–9g of fiber and 2–5g of sugar. We're seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Seattle metro territory to drive volume, distribution, and market share growth.
In this role, you'll manage a fast-moving product across a range of retail channels, working with distributor partners and third-party sales resources to exceed monthly volume and distribution goals. You'll conduct weekly route rides with DSD partners and food brokers to identify underperforming accounts and opportunities for growth. You'll monitor inventory and point-of-sale materials, ensure all commitments to distributors and retail partners are met, and provide detailed reports on distribution, display, and sales performance to support distributor management meetings.
Key responsibilities include implementing and executing incentive programs to guide distributor organizations toward sales objectives, managing chain retailer launches and retail programs, securing additional placement within accounts (secondary points of purchase, cooler placement), and collaborating with field-marketing teams to create comprehensive marketing plans that profitably increase market share. You'll also assist with in-store packing and merchandising, which requires lifting multiple cases of product. Occasional travel (roughly quarterly) to assist other markets and retailers is expected.
This is a field-intensive role with an early start time (7:00–8:00 AM local) and the majority of time spent at store locations or in the field within your market. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where leadership is about ownership and initiative, not just titles. OLIPOP values mission connectivity, indomitable spirit, leading at every level, and courageous humility. The company is fully remote-capable but emphasizes intentional connection through cross-functional projects, in-person offsites, and collaborative communication.
**Requirements:**
The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, education, or specific certifications required. However, the role expects demonstrated success in field sales management, distributor relationship management, retail account management, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. Experience in beverage, CPG, or similar direct-to-retail sales is strongly implied but not formally stated.
