Nomos is building a full-stack power company to unlock flexibility in Europe's energy markets by connecting millions of homes. The company is rethinking how energy companies operate from first principles, with a focus on AI-driven automation of operational workflows.
In this role, you will build AI systems that enable Nomos to serve more customers without proportionally scaling manual work. You'll work directly with customers and internal teams to understand workflows and identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration. Your responsibilities include designing and building agents and integrations that handle real operational work—from customer onboarding to communication with energy market participants. You own the full lifecycle of what you ship: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Key challenges include rethinking how an energy company operates by questioning processes that established suppliers take for granted, and putting the newest AI capabilities to work reliably in production at scale. You'll have access to new models and tools as they become available with generous spending limits for experimentation, but the engineering challenge is making them dependable: testing behavior, handling exceptions, and knowing when human intervention is needed.
Nomos is backed by Index Ventures and is building a European category leader in one of the world's largest industries. As an early member, you'll help shape the company and share in its financial upside. The team includes IMO and IOI medalists, former founders, and Olympic athletes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Shipped and operated production software; understand how systems fit together, how they fail, and how to keep them working as usage grows
- Hands-on experience building with AI; can connect models to tools and data, evaluate behavior, and make sound decisions about where agents are useful
- Move quickly and care about details; turn ambiguous problems into working software, test properly, and stay responsible after launch
