Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect to serve as a pre-sales technical advisor for strategic enterprise customers. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to help large enterprises understand Claude's value and successfully integrate it into their technology stacks.
You will focus on a curated list of strategic enterprise accounts, co-owning account plans with account executives, building technical champions at the C-suite level, and driving multi-quarter adoption roadmaps. Your responsibilities include partnering with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions, serving as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey from discovery through deployment, and coordinating across internal teams to drive customer success.
Key responsibilities include working with customers on AI adoption strategies (use case scoping, architecture reviews, technical champion building, adoption workshops), supporting both Claude API and Claude for Enterprise implementations, creating and delivering compelling technical content for diverse audiences (from engineering deep dives to executive business value conversations), reproducing customer environments to prove production readiness, and building deep relationships with Anthropic's engineering and product teams to carry customer needs into the product roadmap.
You will guide technical architecture decisions, help customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks, develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases, identify common integration patterns, and occasionally travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building. You'll maintain strong knowledge of the latest LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.
This role requires 8+ years of experience in roles such as Field CTO, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Product Manager with hands-on building experience. You should have proven experience working with enterprise customers through complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders, ideally owning named or strategic enterprise accounts. Strong technical communication skills, ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders, experience designing scalable cloud architectures, Python proficiency, and familiarity with LLM frameworks are essential. You should be comfortable with cross-organizational collaboration and have a passion for safe, beneficial AI.
