Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect for Cybersecurity to work with enterprise customers on deploying Claude for security applications. You'll combine deep cybersecurity expertise with customer-facing skills to guide large organizations through their AI-powered security journey.
You'll partner with account executives and architects to understand customer security programs, identify where Claude can deliver real security value, and translate that into technical plans and business cases. You'll serve as the primary security-domain technical advisor to large enterprise customers from discovery through deployment, coordinating across internal teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities include moving customers from one-time security tasks to sustained workloads (application security in SDLC, continuous penetration testing, alert triage, threat intelligence); building and maintaining reference implementations and evaluation approaches; designing and running workshops where customer security teams engage directly with Claude; working with security industry partners on shared accounts; delivering technical content to audiences ranging from security engineers to CISOs; defining adoption metrics and working with Product/Engineering on telemetry; writing playbooks and best practices for reuse across the field; identifying patterns and feature gaps; developing reference customers; occasional travel to customer sites; and maintaining current knowledge of LLM capabilities and the evolving security landscape.
You should have 5+ years in security roles with hands-on depth in at least two areas: application security/secure SDLC, offensive security/penetration testing, detection and response, or threat intelligence/vulnerability management. Experience in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, security consultant, Technical Account Manager) or in security teams where you drove leadership investment is essential. You'll need experience with large enterprise customers, complex multi-stakeholder buying cycles, and working alongside existing vendors and partners.
