Adyen is seeking an experienced AML/CFT Compliance Lead to build and lead compliance operations across the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. This is a pivotal role managing Adyen's regulatory compliance obligations for the Singapore Branch while coordinating AML compliance activities across APAC jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include: - Maintain and improve local regulatory compliance frameworks aligned with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) guidance and the Payment Services Act - Lead regulatory engagements and manage relationships with MAS, STRO, and other supervisors around financial crime and sanctions risks - Serve as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Singapore, acting as the primary point of contact for regulators and law enforcement - Oversee day-to-day AML/CFT and Sanctions programme operations, including training implementation, SONAR reporting, and regulatory inquiries - Act as compliance counterpart to the business, enabling portfolio growth through collaborative risk management - Report to local Adyen Management Board and prepare external regulatory submissions - Determine strategic AML compliance objectives and execution plans for the APAC region alongside regional compliance officers - Support new product launches through risk assessments and framework adjustments - Develop Second Line compliance procedures, guidelines, and risk assessments for APAC - Coach and mentor team members on professional development Required qualifications: - Minimum 8 years in regulatory/compliance roles within payments, financial services, or fintech - Minimum 2 years leadership experience including team mentoring, performance management, and feedback - Deep knowledge of APAC AML/CFT regulatory landscape, particularly Singapore's Payment Services Act and MAS notices - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to manage regulator relationships across multiple jurisdictions - Initiative, independence, and ownership of complex matters - Tech-savvy, hands-on, solution-oriented mindset suited to fintech growth environment - Excellent organizational skills
