This Analytics Engineer role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, focusing on transforming raw data into high-quality, trustworthy datasets and visualizations for business users. You'll work with modern cloud data platforms and best-in-class tools to support analytical and reporting needs across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining efficient ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data in Snowflake into clean, optimized data models
- Implementing best-practice data modeling and software engineering techniques (CI/CD, testing, lineage) to ensure data structures are performant and reliable
- Writing comprehensive data quality checks, tests, and monitoring scripts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transformed data assets
- Collaborating with Data Analysts and business users to understand reporting needs and optimize models accordingly
- Tuning SQL queries and data models to reduce latency and improve data warehouse performance
- Building scalable, compelling data visualizations in Looker for large teams
- Championing adoption of modern data stack tools and practices
Required qualifications: 3+ years in a data-focused role (Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Developer); expert-level SQL proficiency; hands-on dbt experience; cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift); solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling; Git proficiency; and familiarity with BI tools like Looker.
Preferred: Python expertise, semantic layer experience, orchestration tools like Airflow, and knowledge of modern software engineering practices applied to data.
The company operates on an IRL-first model with 3 days per week in-office at their London or Barcelona hubs. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates. English is the official office language.
