TradingView, the world's largest financial analysis platform with 100M+ users across 180+ countries, is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the transformation core and semantic layer of its Master/Reference Data Management platform. You will take end-to-end ownership of the dbt project, including transformations across all layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold), reusable macros, and shared modeling rules. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to cut time-to-market for delivering new data to 2M+ users by approximately 7x while guaranteeing high-quality data across all TradingView services. Key responsibilities include: - Own and evolve the dbt project end-to-end, managing transformations, macros, and modeling conventions - Consolidate scattered and legacy transformations into unified, standardized pipelines - Expand dbt tests and implement comprehensive data quality checks across Silver and Gold layers - Design and implement golden-record determination and conflict resolution strategies for master and reference data - Build and own the canonical data model, semantic (Gold) layer, and data catalog - Define and enforce transformation standards and conventions to enable self-service analytics for analysts, ops, and domain teams - Deliver data from Gold to end consumers, including frontend integration through internal systems You bring 4-6 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer with expert-level dbt proficiency across modeling, macros, tests, and project structure. You have native SQL fluency including query optimization (indexes, partitions, data layout), deep hands-on experience with data quality tools (dbt tests, Great Expectations, Soda), and strong expertise in canonical/semantic layer design and dimensional modeling. Experience with master/reference data management, golden-record logic, and the ability to translate logic from Go, Python, or other languages into SQL are essential. Prior experience owning key data platform components or exposure to market data/fintech is a plus.
