Qonto is Europe's leading finance workspace for SMEs, combining banking with financial tools. Founded in 2017, the company now serves 600,000+ customers across 8 European countries and has been profitable since 2023.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will own end-to-end data models feeding Product, Growth, and Ops Finance analytics. Your core responsibilities include designing and shipping production-grade dbt models with comprehensive testing, partnering with Business Analysts to understand their actual needs, and pushing back on requests that would compromise data reliability for short-term speed. You'll play a key role in reducing technical debt at scale, helping migrate the data stack to a more scalable architecture including the move to Omni as a semantic layer.
You will work closely with Jules Jeanroy, the Analytics Engineering Manager, and collaborate daily with Business Analysts across Product, Growth, and Ops Finance teams. The team is at a pivotal moment—investing in scalability, cutting technical debt, and establishing standards that will define Analytics Engineering at Qonto for years to come.
Key aspects of the role: taking projects from discovery through delivery and measuring real impact; scaling your own workflow with AI tools for documentation, testing, and modeling while maintaining judgment on critical decisions; and building data models that other teams trust and build dashboards on top of. Business partnering is core to the role—you'll need to challenge requests without damaging relationships.
Qonto values AI-native work styles and expects you to use AI tools daily, not just as a coding assistant but to accelerate modeling, documentation, and testing. The company has 1,600+ employees across 80+ nationalities with 45% women representation and 56% women in leadership. There is room to grow horizontally across different analytics scopes or move toward mentoring and standards ownership as a senior profile.
