As Analytics Engineer, you will build and own the product analytics foundation at Profound during a critical growth phase. You will define success metrics, map user journeys, and uncover insights that directly shape product development and go-to-market strategy.
Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining dashboards tracking product usage, funnels, retention, activation, and feature adoption; defining and maintaining core product metrics with clean, reliable modeling; analyzing user journeys to identify friction points and drive growth; delivering custom analyses for customer-level and segment insights; and partnering with engineers on event instrumentation, data pipelines, and data quality.
You bring 3+ years of analytics, data, or product-focused experience with strong SQL and Python fluency. You have hands-on product analytics experience (funnels, retention, user journeys, activation) ideally from B2B SaaS or product-focused companies. You combine strong data modeling skills with product sense—able to translate data into clear, actionable insights for product and go-to-market teams. You take ownership of data quality and reliability, thrive in fast-paced environments with autonomy and trust, and are excited by the opportunity to shape how product usage is measured and how product decisions are made at an early-stage, high-growth company.
