Postscript is an AI messaging platform serving 20,000+ Shopify brands with SMS marketing and revenue-driving AI features. The Analytics Engineering team is a high-leverage function critical to scaling the company. You'll build trusted data assets that improve decision-making across all levels of the organization. In this role, you'll develop automated, resilient data transformation pipelines using software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and code reviews. You'll define processes for continuous data quality monitoring and build mechanisms to proactively resolve issues. A key responsibility is building the harness for agentic development, including prompting, skills, and evaluations. You'll maintain detailed documentation and semantic layers for both humans and AI agents to consume. You'll build self-service tools such as reports, dashboards, and integrations to democratize data and improve decision-making across the organization. You'll partner closely with Finance, GTM, and Product teams to define metrics, identify data needs, and construct useful data assets. Collaboration with Data Engineering and Product ensures upstream data sources are delivered with the right frequency, grain, and information to support business objectives. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence with strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs). You should be familiar with cloud data warehouses like ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery, and have experience building data assets in dbt. Experience using AI to accelerate modeling, querying, and reporting is valued. You'll have built self-service tools in BI platforms such as Omni, Looker, Hex, or Tableau. Strong written communication, attention to data quality, and business acumen across functional areas are essential. High-growth or early-stage startup experience is strongly preferred.
