PermitFlow is an applied AI company transforming construction permitting and compliance workflows. The company has raised over $90M from top-tier investors including Accel and Kleiner Perkins, and serves the nation's fastest-growing construction companies by automating permitting, licensing, inspections, and project closeouts.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will design and build the data infrastructure powering PermitFlow's business intelligence and decision-making. You'll own the full lifecycle of analytics systems: designing scalable data models optimized for reporting, building and maintaining ETL pipelines that transform data from CRM systems, third-party vendors, and internal sources, and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure quality and consistency.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate diverse data sources while optimizing for performance and reliability, developing self-serve analytics solutions and dashboards for stakeholders, defining key metrics and tracking data lineage, and managing PermitFlow's data stack (likely cloud-based, modern data warehouse architecture). You'll also provide training and support to help teams leverage data tools effectively.
The role requires 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics roles. You should have strong SQL and dbt proficiency, hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and modern data stack tools, advanced Python or similar programming skills for data transformation, proven ability designing data models and data warehouses, and familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms like Google Cloud. Strong communication skills are essential—you'll explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders regularly.
PermitFlow's NYC headquarters operates on a hybrid schedule (3 in-office days per week). The company offers competitive salary with meaningful equity, 100% company-paid medical/dental/vision, 401(k), unlimited PTO, paid family leave, home office stipend, daily in-office meals, and commuter benefits.
