As an Analytics Engineer, you will own the analytics foundation that enables the business to move fast on trusted data. You'll design and build production dbt models on Databricks that serve as the source of truth for business operations, supporting both human analysts and AI agents. Your responsibilities include designing scalable data models, implementing comprehensive data quality testing and CI/CD pipelines, building Databricks dashboards and semantic metrics for self-service analytics, and partnering with Data Engineering and stakeholders to transform business problems into durable data products.
You'll work in an AI-native environment, using tools like Cursor and Claude daily for development while ensuring models and documentation are designed for both human and LLM consumption. The role requires executing in ambiguity at startup pace with incomplete specifications, maintaining an owner mentality, and communicating clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
Required qualifications include 7+ years in analytics engineering with end-to-end ownership of production models, expert SQL and deep dbt expertise (architecture, incremental models, tests, macros, CI/CD), strong Databricks BI or equivalent semantic layer experience, and demonstrated proficiency with AI coding tools.
