Salary: CAD 110,000 - 135,000 / annual

KOHO Financial is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design and scale the reporting pipelines and data models that power decision-making across the organization. You'll work alongside fellow Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts, partnering with teams across Finance, Operations, Product, and Technology to translate business needs into reliable, well-modeled data. In this role, you'll own the technical backbone that makes data trustworthy and accessible, ensuring the data infrastructure keeps pace with a fast-moving, ambitious organization. Key responsibilities include: - Building and scaling data pipelines from scoping through delivery - Collaborating cross-functionally to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Creating performant, well-tested data models that power internal reporting, self-serve analytics, and decision-making - Designing scalable data models using frameworks like one big table, entity tables, event streams, and Kimball methodology - Optimizing pipeline health, query performance, and implementing data quality monitoring - Documenting solutions, establishing best practices, and upskilling fellow Analytics Engineers and Analysts - Integrating cross-functional data to unify information into cohesive, reusable reporting structures Required qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data roles - Strong DBT expertise with complex projects, materializations, snapshots, variables, macros, and Jinja - Advanced SQL skills including query optimization and performance tuning - Experience with modern data stack tools: DBT Core/Cloud, Git (Redshift experience is a plus) - Strong collaboration skills with analysts, PMs, and engineers - Clear communication ability, adapting to different audiences - Initiative-taking mindset to identify and act on improvements - Interest in or experience with AI tools for development workflows Nice-to-haves include fintech or banking experience and familiarity with highly-regulated domains.
