The founding team includes veterans from Autodesk, Electronic Arts, Nike, and Apple.
You will own analytics across the entire platform—from data modeling and metric definitions to customer-facing dashboards and internal reporting. This is a newly created role on the Software Engineering team, established because enterprise customers are asking increasingly sophisticated analytics questions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and views in Looker and Observable for both customer-facing and internal use
- Partner with engineering to ship polished, enterprise-grade customer analytics
- Work with Product and Customer Success to define metrics and build supporting reports
- Set direction for the analytics stack and determine where each reporting component should live
- Own data infrastructure and instrumentation decisions, including data flows between BigQuery, S3, and product analytics tools like PostHog
- Use data modeling, statistics, and analytical techniques to identify trends and anomalies
- Build a triage process for analytics requests across the organization
- Serve as the trusted authority on "what the data says"
You understand what matters to builders versus internal stakeholders. You're comfortable navigating competing requests and turning them into a coherent plan independently. You earn buy-in from infrastructure, integration, and frontend teams without managing them directly, and you can direct engineering priorities without owning the implementation yourself. You communicate fluently with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years in analytics, data science, or business intelligence with end-to-end ownership
- Strong SQL expertise and data modeling fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Observable, or similar)
- Experience with data warehouses and pipelines (BigQuery, S3, or equivalent)
- Product analytics tool experience (PostHog or similar)
- Track record building internal and customer-facing dashboards
- Ability to manage fast-paced, ambiguous projects with strong organization and independence
- Excellent judgment about data access and audience appropriateness
Desirable experience:
- Delivering analytics to large enterprise customers with custom reporting requirements
- Background in construction tech, homebuilding, or complex physical-world domains
