You will own a high-velocity mix of analytics engineering work spanning dbt models, Snowflake semantic layers, and data pipelines across finance, operations, IoT, and marketing. Key responsibilities include maintaining core reporting infrastructure, owning the marketing data pipeline end-to-end, building ingestion for non-traditional data sources, and contributing to AI-powered data products.
Day-to-day work involves maintaining and testing dbt models and Snowflake semantic layers; designing and building marketing data pipelines including creative solutions for unstructured data streams; root-causing and resolving complex data issues across the pipeline; partnering with cross-functional teams to translate ad hoc requests into well-scoped problems; contributing to semantic layers for AI agents; owning data ingestion from systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, and ADP; and proactively identifying improvements to data models, testing, and documentation.
You should have 4-6 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence, with a degree in a quantitative field (CS, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related). Expert-level proficiency in dbt and SQL with strong Snowflake knowledge is required. You need hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines, pipeline monitoring and alerting, and translating ambiguous requests into delivery plans. The ideal candidate has a track record of proactively driving improvements, is known for thorough and dependable work, communicates technical concepts clearly, and demonstrates sound judgment on trade-offs.
