Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, and Uber. As an Analyst I in the Risk Operations Centre, you will be the frontline defense against fraud, operating within a 24/7 shift system to monitor card transactions in real-time. You will report to the Risk Operations Manager and serve as a subject-matter expert in transaction monitoring. Your core responsibilities include managing a standard workload of fraud alerts and investigations with increasing independence, conducting routine analysis of transactional data to identify fraud trends and anomalies, and providing concise updates to stakeholders. You will apply established procedures and specialized monitoring tools to detect well-defined problems, document findings using team templates, and resolve routine cases independently while escalating complex exceptions to senior staff. Key duties encompass executing alert management and investigations within strict SLAs, problem-solving through transactional data analysis, collaborating with peers on case handovers, applying domain knowledge of fraud monitoring tools and compliance policies, and identifying daily inefficiencies to suggest small-scale process improvements. You will also manage segments of small projects or initiatives, ensuring timely completion and quality standards. The role operates on a Panama shift model (2-2-3) with 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, and weekends to ensure continuous global fraud monitoring coverage. The hybrid working model offers three days per week in the office to support collaboration. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Risk Management with at least 1 year of experience in an analytical or fraud-focused role. You should have a natural curiosity for pattern identification, prior experience in credit card fraud detection or e-commerce, process-oriented mindset, resilience under pressure, native or professional English fluency (French is a plus), and comfort with complex internal systems and risk monitoring tools.
