iCapital seeks an AML Compliance Associate to join its Regulatory and Compliance team, focusing on anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) review and approval processes for private fund investors. This role bridges compliance operations and legal functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across the alternatives investment platform.
Key responsibilities include reviewing investor and client AML/KYC documentation, conducting ongoing monitoring and quarterly reporting reviews, performing third-party reliance testing, conducting AML screening reviews and dispositions, and collaborating across business lines to provide compliance guidance on new initiatives. The associate will also assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
The ideal candidate brings 1–4 years of experience in alternatives, ideally with exposure to both broker-dealer and registered investment advisor environments. Strong knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, and Cayman Islands AML regulations is essential. Hands-on experience with AML screening resolution tools (LexisNexis, Worldcheck, ComplyAdvantage) and a solid grasp of private fund investor regulatory requirements are required. ACAMS certification is preferred; a JD is a plus. The role demands excellent communication skills, comfort in fast-paced environments, strong project management abilities, and a continuous learning mindset.
Compensation includes a base salary of $70,000–$85,000, equity participation for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
